Thankful.

I am thankful for my parents who still bend over backwards to help me even though I'm 28 years old & have a family of my own.
For my siblings, who are always, always there when I need them. I know that if I need anything, I can run to them.

I am thankful for my children, their health, their love, their smiles. I am thankful for the privilege, the honor, the joy of being their mommy. I am thankful for the privilege to be home with them, watch them grow, help them with homework, tuck them into bed.

I am so very thankful for this "little" girl. From the day she was born, she has taught me so many things. She's taught me how to grow up, fend for myself, how to be a mommy. She has taught me how to be patient & that "good things come to those who wait". She has proven everyday that the name I gave her before she was even born, fits her to a tee. Abigail-"my Father's joy". She's beautiful, brilliant, loving, & a drama queen. She is my first born, my boo bear, Abigail Grace.

This little man has proven to be stronger than I am since the day he was born. He's a fighter & has won every battle so far.
Born 8 weeks premature at 31 weeks & 6 days, he came into the world fighting. No matter what the doctor did or said, he was going to greet the world when he wanted to. He spent just 24 hours under an oxygen hood & only 3 weeks in the NICU. He made it home just in time for his first Christmas.
My son and I have a bond that no one else can have, that no one else can break. I gave him a pretty special name too, Elijah-"God is Lord". He sure is.

Our beautiful middle daughter. Our princess. I cannot even describe her to you. She's the first to run to you, wrap her little arms around you & say "I love you". She adores her daddy. I don't think she's met anyone she doesn't love. She's sweet when she wants to be but, when she gets mad, watch out! She won't forget why she's mad either. She'll bring it up days or sometimes weeks later. Kaitlyn Elizabeth. "Elizabeth"-God's promise. She proves that every.single.day.

Our last baby. Our third daughter. Mommy's ladybug. She brings out the best in me. She makes me laugh when I want to scream. She makes me smile with tears in my eyes. She learns things very quickly, still eats, sleeps & poops her day away. She fits into our family perfectly. She was the last piece to our puzzle. She makes us complete.
Logan Alia-Leigh. "Leigh"-noble.

I am thankful for my husband, for the hours that he works to support us, for the love that he gives me & our children every.single. day.

This man. He is my husband, my soul mate, my best friend, the father of my children, the love of my life. He is my answered prayer, the man I dreamed about as a teenager. He is the love I never thought I'd find. He is my butterflies in my stomach, face flushed, makes me dizzy kind of love. He is Joe. ♥

Happy 8 months, Ladybug! <3

It feels like I just brought her home (after one of those "Surprise! You have to have an emergancy c-section" type labors). I can't believe she's already 8 months old. My children really have grown up way too fast. Why didn't my mom warn me of this.

She reminds me of her sisters more & more each day. She looks so much like her daddy but, acts just like her "Ma" (me). She's sweet & caring. She's so full of life but, loves to sleep. She's beautiful. She's Logan. <3

Friday Foto Fiesta (November 21.2008)

I have more than one favorite foto, of course but, the two that I wanna share are ones that I forgot that I had & just rediscovered today. =)

This picture was taken in June of 2004. There is baby Abbie who was 2.5 years old & baby Elijah who was just 7 months old. The "old man" in the picture is known as PawPaw at my house. He'd be my step-dad.

This is one of my favorite pictures because it reminds me that those two children (who are now almost 7 & 5 years old) were small at one time. I tend to forget that when I'm fussing at them to get their coats on in the morning. It also reminds me that my daddy is one of their favorite people in the world. <3

This is another one of my faves. In this picture is me & my brothers & sisters (minus one brother). I love these kids. If you would have told me 10 years ago that they would grow to be my best friends, I would've told you that you were crazy. Growing up we had the normal sibling fighting but, now, since we are 27, 24, 21, 19, 18, & 16, not so much. We get together at our parents' house every Sunday & eat dinner together. We sit at the table with our S/Os & my children. We have good food, good adult convos, & loads of laugh. I have no idea what I would do without them. <3

Multi-tasking.

I am a major, major multi-tasker. I do everything at the same time.
I feed the baby while checking my email, fold clothes & wash dishes while I fix dinner. I check myspace & my mommy forum while I do homework.

I really, really need to stop doing this. I realized tonight how frazzled I get. I get upset because I can't do all these things at one time.

I'm not sure why it bothers me...but, it does. :)

Writer's Workshop: The last time I laughed really hard...

...was this Tuesday, in BiLo. I have Logan up front in the buggy & Katie is walking in front of the cart. The entire time she is walking she's singing "You get the best of the both worlds"! & the she'd stop singing & say really, really, really loud "You mix it all together"! LMAO.

That kid! =)

Wanna participate in the Writer's Workshop? Go see Kat.

You're gonna think I'm crazy.

I want another baby.

Yes, I know that my tubes are tied. Yes, I know that we don't have the $5,000+ to have reversal done. Even if we did, Joe would never go with it.

I was meant to be a mommy. I was born to have children. This is the only thing I have ever, ever wanted to do with my life.

I watch Logan grow & learn new things every day & it breaks my heart that she is my last child. Elijah will never have a baby brother. Elijah will always be Joe's only son.

I have that same yearning that I had before/while we were TTC Logan. It's in my heart, my gut, my soul. I often cried about the stupid choice I made; the tubal. I should've thought about it more.

Joe & I have talked about adopting or even just fostering. But, we I don't want to do that until the kids are a little older. I've talked about being a surrogate mother. I'd love, love to do that for someone but, now that I think about it that would be something hard for me to do. Maybe it'll be easier when Logan gets older.

Right now, I just can't shake this.

Wordful Wednesday.

It's been seven years ago this year since I became a mommy. Nothing could have prepared me for what that title would hold.

This little girl came into my life seven years ago this December. After 3 days of labor, I was able to hold my first born child. Abigail changed my life with the first breath she took. I knew that I had to do whatever it took to provide for her. I did & still do.

23 months, 16 days & 4 minutes after I greeted my first child, Abigail's brother was born. I never thought I could love someone as much as I loved Abbie but, Elijah proved me wrong. My heart grew even more.

22 months & 13 days after Elijah was born, Katie came into our lives kicking & screaming. I knew from the fact that I was induced, that Katie would be a very independent child. & she is. She brought just as much love into our house as her brother & sister. When Katie was a baby, my favorite past time was to just sit & look at her. =)

29 months & 9 days after Katie came our last child, Logan. I never thought I'd hold another child in my arms but, God proved me wrong on the day that Logan was born. I hope that Logan will always, always know how much she is wanted & how hard we "worked" to get her here, how many times I would cry & prayer for her.

My children have taught me so many things; how to laugh, smile, be silly even when someone is looking. They've taught me how to sing at the top of my lungs in the middle of grocery stores, how to see things through their eyes.

Most of all, my children have taught me to love with all my heart & to live for the moment.

Better night.

Logan had a much better night last night. =)

I took Suzi's advice & had a cuddle with her before & after bathtime. Joe put her down at 7.30pm & she was up around 1.30am. I put her in bed with us after her bottle & she slept till after 7am . =) She also only had one nap yesterday. She's been taking 4 (Wow!) but, I'm trying to cut them down to 2. She's been up for almost 3 hours & so far she isn't cranky. I'm going to try to hold her off until 11am. Maybe 12?

I hate my history class.

I do believe that I am going to fail, yet another HIS class. I won't even tell you my grade in the class because it's embarrassing.

My instructor is filing a plagerism report on me & I cannot even explain to you how much that breaks my heart. I have never, never been in trouble when it comes to school. I spend hours on her homework because I know how "into" plagerism she is. I try my best to make sure I'm not plagerising anything out of our textbook.

I can't stop crying over this. I know it may sound silly but, I cannot fail another class. I'm only in the 3rd week of this class. I have 6 more to bring my grade up to at least an 70. I think I may have a 13 now. =(

I have another paper due on Sunday. I can't even bring myself to look at the reading for it.

I tried to explain to the instructor that I'm not doing this on purpose. Anyone who knows me knows that I would never steal someone elses work.

I'm going to take a nap. =(

Refresher course in sleep.

I think Logan needs a schedule change but, I have no idea how to go about it. She will not sleep at night. She'll go down between 7-8.30pm. She's up at 11.30pm (last night until after 2am) & again at 5am. She used to take a morning nap from 7am-9am but, now she will only sleep for about half an hour. This weekend she had decided that naps were so not cool & stayed up from 5am to about noon & then slept for 2 hours. Yesterday she did her normal two 2 hour naps.

I have had 8 hours of sleep in the past 2 days.

I have to do something. I cannot function like this. It's getting close to impossible. I'm cranky. I have no energy. I'm on the verge of passing out at 5pm every night. *sighs*

My 8 month old has forgotten how to sleep.

Shhh. Listen!

I am home alone!

That means no children (not even Logan) & no husband! :0 I'm pretty shocked myself!

Joe & the kids have went to his parents. I'm getting ready to work on homework (if I can concentrate on it) & maybe even take another nap. I'm not sure though. I want to be able to sleep tonight.

I told Joe not to let his parents keep Logan. I just don't want her ignored & me not there to stick up for her. Bless her!

Well, I guess I should get school work started. :x

Sleep would be nice.

Something has made me daughter believe that sleep is a bad thing. It's like she refuses to sleep for the past two nights. Friday morning, she thought that 1am was a good time to start her day. Last night she went to bed at 7.30pm but, was up at 11.30pm to play. She isn't hungry when she wakes up. She just wakes up & I cannot just let her cry until she goes back to sleep.

Joe was supposed to get up with her last night but, that didn't work out to well. The first time I hear her cry, I go to her (hoping she doesn't wake up too much) & then I'm wide awake for the next 30 minutes to an hour. Maybe I'll be so tired tonight that I'll just pass out until tomorrow morning. ha ha.

The in laws are supposed to get "the kids" tonight but, I'm not sure if they want all three (Abbie's with her daddy) or just Katie & Elijah. I don't think I want them to keep Logan anyway, with the way they treat her most days.

Well, I've got things to do. * sighs *

Logan experinces garlic & rosemary mashed potatoes.

I felt rather "Rachel Ray"ish tonight & made mashed potatoes with garlic & rosemary to go along with our round steak, broccoli and cheese & yeast rolls.

As I was sitting on the floor at the coffee table eating with Katie & Elijah, Logan crawls over & climbs into my lap. I decided to give her a bite of my potatoes & she loved them. She ended up eating my entire serving. So after I was done, I took her to her highchair & gave her some of her own on her tray. Below is the aftermath. ha ha.

Ladybug pictures.

I never thought that another little person would bring so much joy into our household. But, looking at this smile, hearing her laugh makes everything we went through to get her here & everything we are going through with her worth it. She makes everyone happy. She makes everyone forget why they are mad, upset, sad. She has brought our family together & made it complete.

Worst week ever!

I am so ready for this week to be over with. It seems I cannot do anything right this week.

Monday- I rammed into the front of Joe's truck. When I say "rammed", that's what I mean. I moved the dang thing I hit it so hard.

I was taking Abbie & Elijah to the bus stop & went to back outta the drive. I used to not look behind me cos I figured the kids were with me & Joe normally parks in the yard. Well, he didn't do that Sunday & I ended up hitting his jeep. I've got a big dent in the back of my van & a bunch of scratches. The reflectors are busted too. Other than that, everyone is/was fine. Joe's jeep just got the front license plate bust.

Wensday- I took the girls to BiLo & looked us outta the van. Mom came & sat with them while I ran to Joe's work & got the spare. Thank God he had a spare.

Thrusday- Logan had a doctor's appt. After it was over, we get in the van & get ready to go get her meds & get lunch. Then I realize I had left the lights on. Mom came & jumped us off.

BTW, Logan weighs 19lbs & she has a double ear infection. :(

So far today, I've been up since 1am cos for some reason, Logan doesn't wanna sleep. We have errands to run & I just do not feel like it. Ugh!

So...how was your week? ;)

Logan has new tricks!

She learned to pull herself up on Saturday. Sunday I was sitting in the floor with her & she crawled over to me & went straight to her feet.

I was in the van getting ready to leave for the store & Joe ran out of the house, telling me to roll my window down. He then told me that our daughter, who isn't even 8 months old yet, pulled herself up on her diaper box in the kitchen. She crawled 8 days after her 6 month birthday. She's growing waaaayyyy too fast for me. I need a baby a little longer.

I'm horrible with introductions.

*waves* I'm Aimee. 27 year old college student & SAHM of four. I married my soul mate almost 4 years ago & we've been a couple for almost five. It really doesn't seem that long really but, on the other hand, I feel like I've known Joe my entire life. ♥

Our children are my our world. Abigail is our oldest. She's almost seven & in the first grade. She loves to read but, hates spelling. She loves math but, hates adding & subtracting. Elijah is our only son. He is almost five & in K4. He is the sweetest boy you will ever meet. He gets that from his daddy. ♥ Elijah was born 8 weeks premature & is a proud three week NICU grad. He's my miracle child. Katie is our middle daughter. She is three & so very, very smart. She speaks better than I do at times & knew her ABC's before I did. ha ha. She's daddy's princess & acts like it. She is spoiled rotten. When she's mad, she's mad. When she's sweet, she's sweet. Logan is our baby. She completed our family almost eight months ago. I am really enjoying staying home with her & Katie & watching her grow & learn new things. Logan is crawling, pulling herself to standing, & getting her 3rd tooth somewhere in her mouth. She can "say" dada, bubba, & sissy. She shakes her head no & laughs hysterically if you point at her.

As for Joe & I. He works as a Lt. for our power plants generating station. He's been there a little over a year & loves it. I love it too now that he doesn't work crazy hours. He really enjoys surfing & spending time with his family. ♥

I am just me. I am majoring in Elementary Education and will graduate in April of 2010. I really enjoy college & I'm not sure if I want to graduate. ;)

Now that you've met my family, you'll know who I'm talking about. =)
